Due to the computer mediation and presentation of the modules, each module contains games. These games require ISGE students to manipulate the information in diverse ways. This follows the dictum, “If you want me to learn something, tell me; if you want me to really learn something, show me; if you want me to learn something for the long term, have me USE IT.” That students act on and manipulate the information gives them practice in using the information. And that might lead to more long-term retention and understanding.
