Literacy Goals

At one time, the ability to read and write distinguished the elite of a population from those less advantages and learned. It was called “literacy.” In modern times, there is a great concern over “literacy” in our human population. Although it used to refer to ability to write, read, and understand a language in the most primitive level, modern civilization is now concerned over the next steps in “literacy.” These additional literacies are needed, even vital, to well functioning societies and to the survival of our species. We devote individual pages to each. You would find, if you looked, additional information on Wikipedia or on Google on each of these vital literacies.
