Hierarchy Tlab

Here, for example, is what the ISGE student experiences in the Hierarchy TLAB.

First, because is closest to their personal experience, they take apart a model of the human individual (easily available in most bio departments) to experience that there are several levels of organ system in the human body, in some cases they witness that the organs themselves have sub-systems.

Second they go to a microscope to witness that the organs are composed of several types of tissues by seeing slides of the tissues. Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, they take apart the inside of a personal computer showing the CPU and memory subsystems.

Here are some photo scans of the actual layout of the Hierarchy Transdisciplinary Lab where you may be able to see for yourself how this lab gives the students direct experience of the many scalar hierarchically-organized levels  ACROSS much of the known universe.
